Paul Nyzuk – President and Director
Paul has been in the gaming industry since 1995 building profitable, high growth gaming companies. Prior to founding Pipeline49, Paul was the COO of MICROPOWER Corp. Established in 2003, some of the biggest names in the online and iTV worlds choose MICROPOWER poker software including ESPN (Sports Television Network), NTN (iTV Games Network), FHM (UK Men’s Magazine) and BoDog.com among others. Paul successfully repositioned the company for buyout by Chartwell Technology Inc. (TSX: CWH), now Amaya Gaming Group Inc. (TSXV: AYA.V).
Formally, Paul worked with World Gaming PLC (WGMGY:OTC US) / Inphinity Interactive Inc., as VP Business Development and Pari-mutuel operations, where he successfully negotiated and established the first internet based common-pool wagering hub, co-mingling wagers and streaming live racetracks around the world. Paul has held various Director of Operations titles for start-ups within the gaming industry, where he has led teams responsible for complete Internet systems solutions including broadcasting, advertising, sales, marketing, design, animation and e-commerce solutions. Paul’s gaming career began as Manager, New Distribution Initiatives, for the Woodbine Entertainment Group, where he was a part of the team that implemented its highly successful Horseplayer Interactive suite of in-home gaming products.
Since the formation of Pipeline49, Paul has helped transform the company into a highly scalable multi-product, multi-channel corporation, with an emphasis on technical operations and client facing initiatives. Paul studied Computer Science at Sheridan College in Toronto, Canada.
Rob Picard – COO
Rob brings a unique blend of experience in general management, corporate operations, business development, sales and finance to lead the direction of Pipeline49’s business functions. Rob began his career in Investment Banking having held positions at SunTrust Capital Markets (NYSE:STI) as a registered representative on the Institutional Sales team, followed by Lehman Brothers (NYSE:LEH) with an emphasis on Corporate Bonds. Later, Rob was Vice President of Sales for Bridge Information Systems (now Reuters NYSE:TRI) responsible for sales initiatives surrounding their flagship products to investment banks, and institutional trading desks. Rob has also served as Executive Vice President of Innovation Capital, a NASD Broker/Dealer, specializing in private equity funding deals for early stage and maturing technology companies; as well as provided independent consulting and contract services for many emerging technology ventures.
In his position as Chief Operating Officer, Rob oversees corporate development, leads project management planning and execution, acts as one of the company’s chief sales engineers on international deals, serves as lead advisor for creative direction, and is integral in strategic planning.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Stetson University, and has held Series 3, 6, 7 and 63 licenses from the NASD; along with Life, Health and Variable Annuity licenses.
